The Andover Mailbox - Custom

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 

The Andover Custom Mailbox is a wall mount mailbox featuring the same crisp rugged construction as our Gibson mailbox, but with taller, slimmer proportions.  

It is composed of a 3/16" steel faceplate which is customized with centered house numbers laser cut from the front. The sides are made of 14 gauge plate steel to provide long-lasting durability while keeping the overall weight of the mailbox down.  

We offer a locking option for this mailbox - the keyed lock feature allows for secure mail delivery and comes with two key copies.

This mailbox is designed to be a wall-mount mailbox, with protection from direct rain or snow. We do not recommend this mailbox be mounted on a gate, fence, or post as there are mounting holes in the back which prevent the mailbox from being fully waterproof with direct exposure to the elements.

WEATHERING 

We build and deliver this mailbox in clean raw hot rolled steel. Much like the grain in wood, this dark steel finish comes with a variety of heat marks from the raw steel cooling in the steel mill. Most people let this mailbox develop a handsome RUST patina over time. The pictures show it at the tail end of this process as well as the raw steel look as we deliver it.  Just like any other outdoor product, these finishes will require maintenance over time.
